What is ARPDAU?
ARPDAU is average revenue per daily active user. It is the day-by-day monetization pulse of an app, and the number you multiply by retention to estimate user value.
Worked example
If daily revenue is $4,200 and daily active users is 35,000, then ARPDAU = $0.12.
ARPDAU = Daily revenue ÷ Daily active users

Tactical application guide
ARPDAU links daily revenue and daily active users in a fixed ratio, so any two pin down the third. Planning backwards is where it earns its keep: enter the daily revenue you have and the ARPDAU you are targeting, and the solver tells you the daily active users you must secure. Or lock daily active users and ARPDAU from a benchmark to see the daily revenue that plan implies before you commit.
