LTR (Listen-Through Rate)

LTR is the audio equivalent of video completion: the share of ads that played to the end.

Formula

What is LTR?

LTR is the audio equivalent of video completion: the share of ads that played to the end. Audio LTRs tend to run high because listeners rarely skip, so a weak LTR is a strong signal.

Worked example

If completed listens is 85,000 and audio starts is 100,000, then LTR = 85.00%.

LTR = (Completed listens ÷ Audio starts) × 100

Tactical application guide

LTR links completed listens and audio starts in a fixed ratio, so any two pin down the third. Planning backwards is where it earns its keep: enter the completed listens you have and the LTR you are targeting, and the solver tells you the audio starts you must secure. Or lock audio starts and LTR from a benchmark to see the completed listens that plan implies before you commit.
