What is CPV?
CPV is the average cost of each counted video view. What counts as a view differs by platform, often a few seconds or an interaction, so compare CPVs only when the definitions match.
Worked example
If spend is $3,000 and views is 60,000, then CPV = $0.05.
CPV = Spend ÷ Views

Tactical application guide
CPV links spend and views in a fixed ratio, so any two pin down the third. Planning backwards is where it earns its keep: enter the spend you have and the CPV you are targeting, and the solver tells you the views you must secure. Or lock views and CPV from a benchmark to see the spend that plan implies before you commit.
